Continuing our cooperation with Hospodárske noviny

Following up on our previous successful cooperation with Hospodárske noviny, DT LEGAL, was again approached with an opportunity to prepare a series of articles on advantages and disadvantages of living in / out of marriage as a couple, news in divorce proceedings and related financial relationships. These articles were aimed at outlining the resolution of practical day-to-day problems in the area of family law for public. In course of an online discussion on the topic, Dušan Tomka, partner of the firm, also answered specific questions from the public.

DT LEGAL for RTVS in the show „Ladies club“

On 02 October 2015 and 14 January 2016, Dušan Tomka took part in television discussions from the area of family law in the RTVS’s program for women - Ladies club (“Dámsky klub”). Firstly he informed the viewers on the topic of partnership vs marriage and latter also on the topic of economical solidarity in family relationships. During the first one, Dušan focused mainly on differences of particular forms of family relationships and also responded to questions delivered from viewers. In the second one, he familiarized the public with the obligation of parents towards children, spouses and others to share their living standards; which is expressed via the legal obligation of paying alimony / financial support in our legislation.

Dušan Tomka for SME Women on dangers of the Internet

In the process of preparing an article on dangers of the Internet, magazine SME Women approached law firm DT LEGAL to analyze related criminal consequences. During an interview, Dušan Tomka, the partner of the firm, answered readers’ searing questions regarding why administrators of webpages, who unwillingly allow teenagers access to erotic content cannot be prosecuted or why something as common as slander on the Internet can be in certain circumstances a criminal offense.

DT LEGAL for Hospodárske noviny

Law office DT LEGAL, was approached with a possibility to participate in a unique project initiated by Hospodárske noviny newspaper, aimed at familiarizing laymen as well as professional public with three new procedural codes, replacing the soon to be obsolete Civil Procedural Code. Dušan Tomka, partner of the law office, focuses in his contributions on selected news introduced by the Civil Litigation Code, Civil Non-litigation Code and Administrative Court Code, related solution of practical problems and comparison of the actual legal regulation with the future one.

DT LEGAL for epravo.sk on suspension of the effectiveness of the provisions of the Act on electronic communications

On November 13, 2014, the online portal www.epravo.sk has published an article titled “Suspension of the effectiveness of the provisions of the Act on electronic communications“. The article deals with legal, moral and practical impacts (of restrictions) of general monitoring of distant transmission provided by Slovak operators of electronic communication services and networks and disclosure of information obtained thereupon to the law enforcement authorities and courts. The authors of the article are JUDr. Natália Kiššová and Mgr. Dominika Šlesárová.

DT LEGAL for epravo.sk on the right to decide about acceptance of healthcare

On November 27, 2014, the online portal www.epravo.sk has published a specialized article titled “The right to decide about acceptance of healthcare”. The article focuses on the issue of granting of an informed consent, on liability of a doctor to adequately instruct patient on the provision of healthcare and on consequences of waiver of medical treatment from the side of the patient. The authors of the article are JUDr. Ing. Dušan Tomka and Mgr. Dominika Šlesárová.

Start of the legal serial with DT LEGAL in Monthly Business – Act on e-government

In the March edition of a web magazine Monthly Business issued by the National agency for the development of small and medium business (currently the agency is operating under a new concept and as the Slovak Business Agency), an article titled “Act on e-government and its impact on business subjects”, related to electronic mailboxes, practical aspects of their usage, electronic identity cards (so called eID cards), signing of electronic submissions and much more, has been published.

The article is the first contribution to the new legal serial that will be issued each month on the pages of Monthly Business. The author of the article is JUDr. Natália Kiššová.
